New Laptop

Shiny, shiny new laptop - I'm reminded of my old new media lecturer who spent a large majority of his time rubbing his laptop in the most sensual way imaginable. I can't keep my hands off this beautiful thing...

I'm afraid that I couldn't afford a mac on my budget - I needed to set up a whole home office for the price of a mac!

I went for an advent 8212 basically the same spec as a lot of decent laptops but cheaper because it's not a "label". It's got vista and I went for a portable laptop as I'll be travelling with it so it's only 12" - pretty little thing...

Small laptops and wireless broadband are a surefire way to a fun, creative time. I have done so much more work on my own projects since having a genuinely portable laptop.

But then I'm a great big nerd.

I've only had it day and the boyf has had to put up with me going from room to room with it saying with a massive grin "and I can use it in here as well" and hugging it a lot.

Nerds of the world unite.

Geek I tell you a Geek.

vista is a strange beast for some things i love it and for others its a pain.

Have you installed openoffice or using google apps???

who do you have your mobile contract with, because if your going to do a lot of outside working. t-mobile and there web and walk tariff is great as you can always login to a starbucks.

remember to get it insured.

T-mobile isn't too good for working on site at festivals...might have to sell my soul to vodafone...

God, I love my laptop! You will be wedded to it forever... I have a 2 year old Toshiba Satelite that has been all over the world with me. I originally bought it because it was the cutest shade of dark metallic blue but have now foud it had deeper levels to it... hmmm!

We must organise getting the sparkly frocks back to me before you leave - I simply have notning to wear!

Love from the Fairy Uncle

The crappy spelling is due to me typing on my big desktop keyboard rather than the sweet, little laptop I am used to... nuff said!
